Thank you for your interest in the Siemens Energy Education and Development (SEED) Solar PV Installation (SPVI) Training. This Training is supported by the Nigerian Energy Support Programme, a technical assistance programme co-funded by the European Union and German Government and implemented by GIZ.
The training is designed to strengthen the technical and practical competencies of professionals and technicians working or seeking to work in the renewable energy sector.
The programme will combine theoretical instruction, hands-on practical training, technical site visits and competency assessments and COREN Certification upon completion of training,
Applicants from both formal educational backgrounds and practical/experience-based pathways are encouraged to apply.
Kindly note that the training for this particular Stream will take place in Lagos and Abeokuta, Ogun State. GIZ-NESP and Siemens Energy will not offer accommodation or transportation support during the training. However, the Training and cost of certification are FREE while meals will be provided on training days.
The Siemens Energy Education and Development (SEED) project aims to contribute to building a skilled energy workforce in Nigeria, with approximately 6,000 energy sector professionals expected to be trained over next five years. It is now taking applications for a FREE Solar PV Installation Training programme.
ELIGIBILITY
- Individuals with at least 2 years of practical experience – formal education is not required
- Recent National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and university graduates
- Young professionals in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related technical fields
