“This Is Outrageous!” – Gospel Drama Minister KSO βlΔsts Seun Kuti Over Claims Against Pastor Adeboye
Gospel drama minister and Christian creative, Kolade Segun Okeowo, popularly known as KSO, has strongly reacted to recent comments made by Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
The backlash followed a viral video in which Seun Kuti narrated an alleged incident involving a wealthy Nigerian family and a terminally ill cancer patient. According to Seun, the family reportedly paid $250,000 after bringing the patient to Nigeria in hopes of receiving divine healing at the RCCG Redemption Camp.
In the video, Seun Kuti claimed, “They brought her from abroad and paid about $250,000 because they believed Adeboye would heal her. She d¡Σd there, and when she d¡Σd, they told people not to cry because they were going to raise her from the dΣΔd.” He went on to accuse Nigerian pastors of exploiting desperation, remarks many Christians described as demeaning, offΣnsive, and unsubstantiated.
The comments quickly sparked outrage across social media, with several believers and church leaders rejecting the claims and demanding proof, while defending Pastor Adeboye’s long-standing reputation.
Reacting to the controversy, KSO described Seun Kuti’s statements as rΣckless and defΔmatory. He dismissed the suggestion that Pastor Adeboye would collect money in exchange for healing, stressing that the cleric has never portrayed himself as a miracle merchant but as a servant who consistently points people to God.
KSO further criticised Seun Kuti for what he described as attention-seeking behaviour, arguing that attΔcking the character of a respected religious leader without evidence is beneath dignity. He also called on the singer to issue an unreserved apology for spreading what he termed fΔlse and damΔging narratives.
Reaffirming his stance, KSO maintained that Pastor Adeboye’s integrity remains intact despite the allegations and urged the public to resist sensational claims not backed by facts.
Below is KSO’s full reaction as shared publicly:

FROM SEUN KUTI TO DADDY ADEBOYE: WHAT A NONSENSICAL SPECULATION !!!!
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS !!!!
Seun Kuti’s slanderous claims against Pastor E.A. Adeboye are a vile concoction of lies, devoid of truth or decency. This baseless attΔck on a revered spiritual leader is not just reckless – it’s infra dignitatem (beneath dignity).
If Seun Kuti wants media attention, is this the way to go about it? Very shameful and degrading of the young man who has been nothing but an enfant terrible in recent times.
Accusing Pastor Adeboye of pocketing $250,000 for a failed “healing”? Absurd! The man of God isn’t a charlatan peddling miracles; he’s a humble servant pointing to THE Healer.
Such nonsensical speculation deserves zero tolerance. Seun Kuti owes Pastor Adeboye (a man old enough to be his father over and over again) an unreserved apology for maligning his character and spreading toxic falsehoods.
Pastor Adeboye’s integrity remains untouched. God’s servant, not a scammer. Period.
Enough is enough. Let’s call out this nonsense and stand with the truth.
