I am someone who is quick to jump to the defense of women.
When they are actually victims.
Cassie is not a victim.
She was a young girl who saw an opportunity to mingle with a rich dude and live a high life without doing any work.
Yes, she said she wanted to sing.
But her actions were more geared towards servicing the rich dude’s needs.
She was in it for the lifestyle.
We have many of those girls here in Naija.
We call them hook-up girls.
And we don’t cut them the kind of slack that you guys are suddenly willing to cut Cassie.
Is it because she’s an American hook-up girl?
Is there “colonial mentality” at play here?
Don’t say that a 19 year old is too young to know better.
I call bullshit.
If at 19 she didn’t know better, why didn’t she know better at 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 all the way up to her early 30s???
So she’s a fool forever?
Come on now, guys.
Why is everyone blaming Diddy and excusing Cassie?
It goes back to a post I wrote some time ago that everybody in the world now refuses to take responsibility for their actions.
When people fuck up, it’s now someone else’s fault.
Cassie fucked up.
Out of greed and laziness and wanting to live a high life that she didn’t work for.
That she finally repented at some point does not mean that she gets not to take responsibility for that time in her life.
I say she must be made to take responsibility for that.
And give that unearned $20m back to the US government.
