Beyond the smartness of this girl and the fact that she is standing in the gap while mum possibly goes out to find money/work, can we appreciate the silent message. “She is still here preserving the garri and groundnut the mother want to use and hold belle”…
This child here has been through a lot with her mum and is quite empathetic and protective of her.
It is so wrong that her childhood is suffering, she is bearing a burden too big for her age and there might be behavioural trauma where she feels like she never enjoyed her childhood in the future.
True, all that. But her Mum is nonetheless a good woman, and that daughter stands in for her in character and leadership. May fortune smile on this family so this little mummy can be a child before she stops being a child…❤️

While do I feel this appears wrong? 🤔 Why give a child the responsibility to play the role of an adult? Or should i say guardian? I think parents need to understand that no matter how smart a child may seem, a child is a child. Secondly, the fact that you are older than your siblings doesn’t give you the leverage to hit them or make you better than them. This is a notion parents need to communicate to their progenies…
